Public Information

As an Intergroup/service body that supports our members and groups, our goal is to carry our message of recovery to the compulsive eater who still suffers. People need to know Overeaters Anonymous exists as a Twelve Step program of Recovery!

It is our hope, that this Website will be a vehicle to perform that duty the best we can. As we begin to develop our new website, we hope that if you have any questions, concerns or any ideas in how we may help you, please feel free to contact us any time.

Professional Outreach

In knowing how our addiction can lead to many health ailments and even death, it is very important to us that Professionals who may come into contact with Compulsive eaters, know that we have found a solution to our compulsive eating. This will be an ongoing outreach for our intergroup, so that all professionals know we are here to help the struggling compulsive eater.

Are you a Physician, Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Therapist, Psychiatrist, or another member of the Professional Community who treat those with compulsive food behaviors/disorders including overeating, bulimia, anorexia? Overeaters Anonymous perhaps may be a compliment to the treatment or advice you may offer. OA is modeled after the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous who have been providing support and resources in recovery for well over 50 years.

As we develop our professional outreach, we leave you with some valuable info found at oa.org.
